The CDP fee covers enrolment on the programme, 15 hours study per week, Placement workshop and induction Work experience placement, Participation in Twin social programme, 24-hour emergency student support, End of course certificate and Edexcel qualification and Job club. For paid option, we will also make sure the host company provides you with (staff) accommodation and meals whilst on duty.
This programme will equip you with the skills and language ability to undertake successful work experience in a British company, this programme offer you a unique pathway of progression, where you will have the opportunity to acquire career development skills and a nationally recognised British qualification, in conjunction with a period of work experience in the UK.
This programme will give you the opportunity to live and work in the UK, improve your language skills and learn about the hospitality and catering industry. And whilst you are on placement your accommodation, meals and pocket money will be provided.
Most trainees will be working as general assistants. This means you will be working in most areas, such as housekeeping to kitchen and waiting on tables. The type of jobs you will be given depend on your level of English, your attitude towards work and the requirements of the hotel at any one time. You cannot choose the position.
No, you can be placed anywhere in the UK/Scotland. The host companies are generally in smaller towns in rural settings, not in cities. You can indicate an area you would like to go to, for instance Scotland or Southeast England, but we may not be able to guarantee this. You will be give information about the location and type of placement before leaving your country. We do not offer London on this programme.
Most of our establishment are quite small, family run business, however we do work with bigger chain hotels but it would depend on what is available at the period of time you apply. Please note that we don’t guarantee any type or size of establishment.
It can be difficult to open a bank account in the UK unless you are studying for six months or more. You will need proof of address and recognised ID, e.g. your passport. However, each one of our schools has agreements with certain banks in the area and the Welfare Officer at your school will be able to advise you.
The Oyster card is a form of electronic ticketing used on public transport services in London. The Oyster card is a plastic credit card sized smart card and it can be the cheapest way to travel around the capital.

There are two types -
pre-pay (which works a bit like pre-pay mobile phones), where you put money on the card and there is no time limit for when you use it
travelcard where you buy a week or month of travel for the areas or 'zones' you wish to travel in
If you are studying for longer than fourteen weeks, you can get a discount Oyster card which give you 30% off your travel. The Welfare Officer in the London school will help you with that.
Before you leave your country to attend our course, you should check with the Embassies of all countries you wish to visit whether you need a visa.
Non-EU students will probably be charged up to £50 to see a doctor. If you have medical insurance you could claim this fee back. Try seeing a pharmacist first at the local chemist. It's free.
However, non-EU students studying for six months or more are entitled to free NHS hospital treatments. Please note that everyone, including EU and British citizens, has to pay for NHS prescriptions. They currently cost approximately £6.40

When you book a course and pay your deposit of £150, you will receive your Certificate of Registration, which you should present at the British Embassy if you need to apply for a visa.
You must pay a deposit before we can send you your visa support. The balance of your fees are due 28 days before your course, so we recommend that you book your course and apply for your visa with plenty of notice. Otherwise, your balance of fees may become due before you have received your visa.
If you are refused a visa, you will be given a signed and dated refusal notice. You should then cancel your course and fax / email us a copy of your refusal statement, and we will be able to refund you fees (we will retain an administration fee of £60.)
If you decide that you would like to extend your course, you will need to fill out a FLR(S) form, which must be submitted to the Home Office along with several other documents, including your passport and evidence of attendance from your school and payment for the visa extension.
